Success story from Samburu County, Kenya

The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, is spearheading the World Bank aided Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project (RPLRP, Kenya), whose objective is to enhance livelihoods resilience of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in crossborder drought prone areas and improve the capacity of the government to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible crisis or emergency. The project is implemented in 14 arid and semi-arid counties in Kenya, among them Samburu County.
